Primavera Sound (2024) is an annual music festival held at the Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona, Spain. It takes place between late May and early June.

This branding proposal for Primavera Sound Barcelona captures the festival’s vibrant, energetic, and experimental atmosphere through bold design choices. Inspired by themes of sound, movement, and the cultural essence of Barcelona, the visual identity emphasizes dynamic glitchy forms, vibrant colors, and playful typography.

The wordmark features rounded, organic letterforms that feel quick and fluid, evoking the lively and rhythmic energy of the event. This type design is paired with a striking color palette dominated by neon green, orange, and blue tones, which enhance the bold and electrifying identity. The overall look is contemporary yet approachable.

A typographic grid system underpins the visuals, providing structure to balance the vibrant and chaotic elements. This structure is reflected across applications, including invitations, posters, stage screens, and digital animations. These elements are cohesive yet adaptable, creating a unified identity that works seamlessly across both physical and digital platforms.

The branding incorporates "glitchy waves" and circular, fluid shapes to represent the flow and intensity of music while referencing the springy and playful nature of Barcelona. The design bridges a sense of structure and spontaneity, much like the festival itself.
